This “BACK TO BASIC” project unique to the Province of Marinduque was conceptualized to; 1. PROMOTE organically grown food of animal origin that is free from antibiotic residue, growth promotant and other harmful & carcinogenic additives; 2. PROVIDE additional source of income to marginalized farm families; 3. ENCOURAGE animal raisers to engage in range type and abandon the cage-type practice of raising animals; 3. MAKE native pig farming as distinct industry; 4. INCREASE its production to meet the ever increasing market demands;
Animal Dispersal
The Provincial Government of Marinduque through the Provincial Veterinary Office provides animal dispersal and re-dispersal service as livelihood assistance to interested and qualified independent livestock raisers or farmer situated in the island of Marinduque. Animals for dispersals are goat, cattle, carabao, horse and native piglet. Recipients are required under the contract to give up the first female offspring for redispersal to ensure continuity of the program
REQUIREMENT(S)
- Community Tax Certificate (CTC) / Residence Certificate
- 2 x 2 ID picture
- Must be a marginal farmer as per endorsement of the Barangay Captain
- Shall be responsible

- Contract Approval must be signed by the Brgy.Captain and the Provet
- Release of Livestock (Upon the availability of animals to be dispersed/redispersed)
